Step 2: Obtain an IELTS score of 5.5

Visit to find out more. GLO College of Ministries offers a preliminary english course, a beginner english course and an intermediate english course with CrossTalk in Riverstone, Sydney, Australia.

Whilst CrossTalk English courses are non-accredited they are designed, delivered and assessed in a similar way to many accredited English Courses in Australia, and may help you prepare to study in English in Australia, and take the IELTS test.

Step 4: Course Acceptance

Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

Upon receipt of your signed Letter of Offer, you will be issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment, which you are required to return with payment of the first trimester’s fees.

You are required to submit the CoE with your visa application to the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs for processing.

Note: All international students must hold a Student Visa before the start of the course and in must be valid for the duration of the course.

Step 5: Pay Course Deposit

Once all the conditions of your offer have been met, you will need to pay a course deposit.

This can be paid directly to the College’s bank account by cheque (made out to GLO Ministries Ltd.) Or via direct deposit.

Course Deposit: $100 This a nonrefundable cost and must be paid on receipt of acceptance letter.

Step 6: Pay Course Fees

All students are required to pay $1000 before commencement of the course. For the remainder of the course fees, a predetermined payment plan will be arranged with GLO College of Ministries.

Short Term Mission Trip (STM) Costs – Due to the location and nature of the STM this cost may vary between $1500 and $2500 and costs will be announced after the course starts, fees will be payable closer to time of proposed trip.

Step 7: Documentation Check

Complete a Police Check

Ministry in churches and with children is an integral part of the Cert IV in Christian Ministry & Theology. Before you can be involved in these activities, you will need to apply for a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People application.

Note: International students, or those who have lived overseas in the last 5 years will need to start this process as soon as possible, as it can be a lengthy process!


At the start of the course each student will need to have brought with them a current passport that has at least one year before it expires. This will be necessary if the Short Term Mission Trip is overseas.

Please contact us with your time of arrival and the mode of transport you will be using to get here (ie; car / plane) and then ensure that you arrive at GLO College of Ministries, 20 King Street, Smithton, in time for the Orientation Program.
